Canva is my favourite tool for creating images to use on social media. It has a huge amount of free templates, icons and images and, if you want to purchase something, the cost is only $1/element. Canva makes designing simple for everyone. You can create designs for Web or print: blog graphics, presentations, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations and so on.
Hootsuite has become an essential tool for managing social media, tracking conversations and measuring campaign results via the web or mobile devices. One of my favourite features is Hootlet, an extension that allows you to quickly and easily share content to your social networks from anywhere on the Web.
Managing Twitter contacts is a huge challenge, but Tweepi allows you to add targeted Twitter users and unfollow the inactive accounts.
4. Facebook Pages Manager
At Media Bloom we run several Facebook pages for our clients. Having a tool such as Facebook Pages Manager on our mobiles makes it easier to keep an eye on our clients’ pages.
The bit.ly URL shortener transforms a long link into a short one. It also allows you to easily see how many times a link has been clicked, as well as what network the people clicking were using. This tool is fantastic for Twitter, where we are limited to 140 characters per tweet.
